That's tune only.......not even getting the 5.0 involved with things. Don't forget the new Rams are also coming with FI now in a I-6 so they will be able to exceed this fairly easy. EVs will need to get faster to keep up
Cybertruck will get 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. Probably around 2.5s with the Plaid motors. Imagine a stock 9s truck in the quarter. Will be interesting to see if Ford brings out a Raptor lightning or something like that.

Oh it's gonna be very interesting, if the cyber truck retains its body and glass I would want one. It would be a hell of a party trick to shoot the door with a .22 to minimal damage! My only concern is the shape, I love the fact it's in that grey area of being more than a thin skinned but less than a IFV but I fear the interior may be problematic to move in and out of.

The ford guys are gonna have a interesting time with the dodge guys soon to get their turbo engines. I'm curious what truck is going to have the better tune only performance, a lot of the tuners nowadays are over the air updated weekly for refinements to shifts etc....funny how the tuners have been doing it since 2018 but manufactures just now are getting on board.

Sorry, but the Cyber truck can only be described as ugly as hell. If I wanted a party trick, there's always the dollar store. The F-150 Lightning is an actual truck, priced in line with it's other F-150 trims.

I thought you were one of those against OTA updates? I could of sworn we argued over this

It's different since these allow you complete control, you can only install part of the changes or roll back to any version or state of tune or even pull it onto a computer if you have the software and tweak it. Totally different scenario, once you try it you will scoff at OE implementations and how little choice you have.

I don't mind the shape since an armor package for a GM Tahoe starts at the cost of the whole truck. I've been musing the idea of picking up something armored but they are quite expensive or require you to provide a base vehicle. If this thing actually sells for the price floated and with the materials they say it will be made of it would be an amazing platform for it. Only really issue I can see is the shape and armoring the battery, might be hard for guys in the back to get out quickly and I have no idea if the pack can be made protected.

I don't know. I think it might be fun to have something like that and if it's an EV it can be better due to not having to work around the limits of a driveline. No engine to armor etc...

Enough pretending you would ever consider this vehicle lol. We don't need to hear 5 times a day that it doesn't meet your needs. We get it.

cybertruck has a functionally horrible design for a truck, there is a reason why trucks are square and blocky to maximize its functionality as a truck

so an XLT Lightning is $55k and a tesla 3 long range starts at $55k? why buy a tesla 3?

After reading and watching the reviews, I feel like a fully electric Maverick would be REALLY attractive!

That's probably next on Fords bucket list. Already they can't build enough F150 Lightnings...the Maverick is bound to be more popular, and will most likely have a much lower price than the Lightning

Range.....it's in the name. Plus the Tesla will drive better I'm sure since it's a car format plus it's better supported

Model 3s are sports sedans. Kind of a different animal. I'd love to have a XLT Lightning too but my Model 3 is pretty fun to hoon around everywhere. Honestly, driving in a city is way more convenient in a small sports sedans. Trucks are a pain to park in the city.

If they make an EV maverick for 19k and at least 200 mile range I'll buy one the second it comes out. Never going to happen though....

There's really no reason you wouldn't find it priced almost precisely like the ICE version, as the Lightning and regular F-150 are similar priced. But good luck finding a Maverick at that price once the dealership adds ADM

Maybe, I think the only reason these are priced even somewhat close is because of how immense the margins are on a normal F150 so they can afford to sell at a way thinner ratio with the EV. I am not sure that same math is there for a maverick, in normal times you can get 20-30% off a US truck and I don't think there is that much room to move around there with EVs.

Here is what people haven’t realized. The new F150 lightning doesnt have top trims yet. Limited trim is not available on the EV. So a platinum EV is $23,000 premium over the platinum gas. ( Canadian prices). Adbsurb

Can you imagine a Lincoln Navigoator EV? $175,000
