they were only driving like 70 mph too, going to suck more if you drive 80 like you hvae to here or else you get run over. In my truck there is a big drop off in mpg after 75mph. They also paid $81k for a lariat F150 Lightning, how much gas can the price difference with a lariat regular F150 buy?

Anything is possible. I have Solar that covers 199 percent of my electricity, so it doesn't matter to me

Gas is going to $50 gallon you heard it here first. Source: same as electricity prices are going to skyrocket.

I stopped at the EA superchargers in Bakersfield (about 20 miles north of the Grapevine) and the Shell station in front of it I believe was above $8 for Regular. If I had taken my Sienna this weekend I would have been easily paying over $120 per fill up....

Eight minutes into the first video and I’ve learned nothing. These videos are way too long despite already breaking it up into three segments. I understand they want to maximize their ad revenue with longer videos but it’s a lot of unnecessary filler and boredom watching the two walk around a dealership parking lot. Get to the point already!

So 100 miles is 50kwh use of energy? That means that its takes ~$23 to go 100 miles. The truck is highly inefficient...i think it has a gross pack of 140kwh. An efficient EV will go almost 4 miles per kWh. Of course, this is only for road trips as you said. If you charge at home and use it as a daily, its about 4x cheaper so you'll spend $23 to 400 miles. I think people will find this tradeoff fantastic given people infrequently do road trips.

That first EA charger stop, in the second video, looks very cumbersome. Roland and Andre seem very confused about how to work the interface and activate their free charging. In the time it took them to figure it out, our Y would’ve already replenished 30% or more. I am sure they will get the hang of it but the Tesla Supercharger stations are dead simple, just like at home:
1. open charger door
2. plug in charger and done

3. Open the app and tap it on the reader or select the charger from the app and slide it
Tesla definitely makes it simpler. I think it will get simpler over time for everyone

For sure! Once you figure out the use of the EA chargers, they are pretty simple. You can tap your phone on the charger to start it

During my chat with the Rivian owner a few weeks back, he mentioned/complained of users constantly causing the chargers to crash. Apparently, the Pasadena free chargers (I don’t think they’re EA) will crash and become inoperable for the next user if you stop charging from inside your EV. You supposedly have to stop charging using only the charging station’s screen. That is not intuitive and poorly designed.

Out of Spec range review of the Lightning. TL;DW he got 260 miles out of the extended battery vs. the stated 300 @ ~2mi/kWh. They also ran it to fully dead and had to push it to a charger. Driving starts around 15 minutes in and Kyle the presenter rambles like he's getting paid by the word so watch on 2x
Edit: just finished the video and this was a dumb test. I get that he wanted to pull as much juice out of the Lightning as possible, but he seemed more excited to use the BMS to see the range than actually testing the Lightning.
