And people. A car that gets up to 155 MPH in 9 seconds for the 1/4 with half of the steering wheel missing...what could go wrong? I am stunned this made it in to production. People are going to reach for something not there while exploiting the insane acceleration, and crash and burn.
i doubt it, it's not like plaids will be sold in huge numbers.
Considering the other mods which exists for the brand, I can easily see a wheel coming down the pipeline. Heck, the reverse is already happening, as there are already yoke steering wheel mods for the 3/Y.

I'd say that's highly anecdotal. Meanwhile, mine is modified and regularly see others in my area-- as with any other car, the number of people who don't modify, outnumber those that do. But the shops are out there and something like a steering wheel addition seems inevitable (and technically has already happened, with the UPP Model S Plaid).
Wow...just annihilated. Its a different league in terms of performance. I love the Turbo S owner going on Tesla's website real time and ordering a Plaid model after the first run. hahahaha.
Not sure why someone would be surprised by this, one is a 9 second car and the other is a 10 second car. What’s your point? Did anyone actually think the results would be different?

Its hard to see how far apart a 1s difference is when you aren't a drag person. Visually, its a big difference especially at the speeds the cars reach. At higher speeds, the 2 speed tranny has no real advantage as the discrepancy between a Taycan Turbo S and Plaid model become even worse from 60-130mph. Lets see how Porsche responds to this new challenger. Will they make the Taycan higher performing than their 911 models to compete? Seems the horsepower wars never left
and then one day they actually had to go around corners...
There's likely to be a Nurburgring time for Model S Plaid out soon, and it's quite likely to be an extremely fast one. The Plaid has been seen there in the last few days..
