You know the new regular LR Model S at $85k is about as fast as the Turbo S Taycan. That new inverter design really helps the top end on the Model S...really really good improvement in performance for Tesla. Given its half the price, the regular LR may be the sweet spot for that type of car. The Taycan is the overall better car though since its made by Porsche. Can't beat Porsche quality and handling but they need to catch up to Tesla on their powertrain.

yes, model S LR is a BARGAIN really... but obviously an entirely different kind of vehicle than a taycan.model S LR (and plaid) is a bit like a dodge charger hellcat/demon/whatever... very fast, not super fancy or luxurious.
still awesome though

I think some Porsche's are works of art the Taycan not so much. You think a certain Mercedes is beautiful we all have our opinions.

The interior, fit and finish, braking and handling are better no doubt but Tesla in general is more tried and true and was $130k all in with what I picked. It was more of a budget buy for me between the two.
