That's what choice is for, if Tesla doesn't meet expectations buy something else. Don't see why every time Tesla does something apparently wrong everything about Elon's integrity as a CEO, him personally, and his companies are questioned top to bottom. It's bizarre.

And - "if you do not like Elon lying, buy something else" is another bizarre thing, more suited to North Korea type of thinking and not a popular car brand from USA.

yeah, my cruise control is set at around 100 MPH when I drive.... so my (and many others) range on highway is not 400 miles, it is 180 miles. As you wrote, consider it from 80% to some 10%-15%.
So I assume that is what people would like - not 550 miles at city speeds, but 300 miles at European highway speeds.
As Elon doing what Elon does, sure. It is how he rolls, still does not make it ok.

Jobs saw Pixar as a side project
For Jobs, who sold NeXT to Apple and made a triumphant return to his old company in 1997, Pixar remained something of a side project; day-to-day operations were left to Lasseter and CTO Ed Catmull, the boss only showing up about once per week.

When he did appear, employees took note of the kinder, gentler Jobs in their presence. The tempestuous CEO who publicly dressed down underlings was all but nonexistent here, replaced by one willing to listen and address potentially embarrassing situations in private.

It's all a moot point until the Rimac is launched next month and maybe the Roadster next year. These records just starting to get annihilated now that EVs are hitting their stride. These new horsepower wars are glorious

So tesla has just announced they're raising the price of the plaid by $10K right before it's first delivery. Does that mean those that pre-ordered pay $10K less than anyone ordering now?
They also raised the Y price but for some reason didn't raise the X Plaid.

So help me clarify the current CL narrative. Tesla loses money on every car, that's bad. Tesla raises prices on cars. That's also bad they should keep losing money. Tesla has dropped prices "40 times" in the last year. That's very bad. Tesla is about to have the fastest production car ever built. That's bad.
What did I miss.
