Great looking car, I originally had an M3LR on order but had changed it over to an M3P in MSM as well a few weeks ago. Already have some 18" aftermarket wheels ordered to replace these stock 20's. I prefer more sidewall...

I have an MP3 and recently switched to aftermarket 18s with PS4S tires. I like the 20 inch in terms of precision but the 18s make the car feel lighter / nimbler and the sidewall protection is much welcome. I ran over a pothole couple months ago and ended up pinching the tire so it caused a leak. This is the 2nd time that happened. My tires were wearing thin and so I though just go to 18s and sell my 20s (which was extremely easy...took a day). Also, don't read into the ridiculous Tesla hate on this forum...the Tesla owners (the people that have actual experience) here give it unanimous thumbs up to their Teslas because its a great car. If you go to the forums, you can see that some people have issues but the majority have been very reliable (especially the Model 3). I've had mine for over 25k miles now and its been reliable and super cheap to run (not to mention faaaast). .

Make sure you get the list of things you need fixed when you take delivery. Model 3 is such a simple car that quality isn't a big concern (seems new Model S has issues) but you want it documented so that you take it in and they will fix the things you mentioned at delivery. Let us know your experience when you get it.

Yup, I am on the tesla forums as well and have done my research on it and my expectations are in check. This is just a 2nd car for the household and something for me to play around with. I pretty much WFH so I don't really drive much anymore other than around town. I went with the 18" tsportline TS5's in satin gray and planned to go with PS4S in 245/45-18 on all 4 corners.

Nice. Most people on the forums haven't had any issues with their M3P. I actually have the Sportline TSS with PS4S. Love them.

What tire size did you go with? Stock with 235? Decent rim protection?

Stock 18 size which is 235/45. I've run over some big potholes already and they are fine. Ride quality is noticeably improved.

Slight update...."downgraded" to 18" lightweight wheels and wider tires; handles crazy good now. Thinking about lowering it, putting on lightweight rotors, race seats, and a ghost mod +50hp boost and take it tracking, but probably not until we get our Model Y Performance or LR 7 seater in a few months...

Default Tesla Model 3 Performance delivered with a missing brake pad

https://www.carscoops.com/2022/01/te...ounded-normal/

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/no...hout-brake-pad

self explanatory thread title... tesla said the car sounded normal because of the larger brake pads used lol

I think the Tesla videos…and Tesla threads are getting out of control.

how do we know that 10 second video isn’t made up? Seems like a nice You Tube revenue generator. Seems like everyone wants to just post on you tube nowadays as it generates eyeballs.

Man blowing up Tesla ✅
Man doing a hands free drive from the back seat✅
now a missing brake pad. 🥕

Tesla has a good product and and strong branding ✅

If there's something as obvious as a brake pad that didn't get noticed in the final QC inspection, it makes you wonder what else they may have missed. Yes, I understand that on EV's you can use regenerative braking to come to a stop, but this does seem pretty blatant of a mishap.
