This morning a BMW X5 was driving behind me, he seemed to be in quite a rush. As he tried to quickly lane change around me so he could get passed the slower car and cut in front of me, I decided to be an *** and put the throttle down. He cut back into the lane behind me but I left him so far behind, he had a look of astonishment as he tried to catch up. Notice how I used the word "tried". I really have to stop teasing those owners of TT V8's...

Happens a lot to me too. this car is still relatively unknown.

It's funny some of the cars that have no idea try to keep up, everything from Corollas and Camrys to bigger SUV's only to be disappointed. They think it's just some little 4 popper type CUV, I've seen some pretty annoyed faces when they can't seem to keep up. There are definitely little quirks here and there, but I think they will make incremental changes for the better as newer models are cranked out

must be a good thing i have model 3 (not performance yet) and gt2

to be honest though, i am not too bothered by the fact that a m3p is only a hair slower than my gt2 for 1/7 of the price. they are just different and i appreciate them for what they are.

^ hey, we're both in OC. there's no shortage of exotic/super cars here. I can't count to 5 without seeing a Tesla (I'm in Irvine) but have seen only one other Polestar2 thus far

My daughter is going to UC Irvine, it's her last year. My niece lives in Costa Mesa, so I'm usually around that area when I'm town. Yep, no shortage of rich people in Irvine/Newport/Costa Mesa

Next time I'm heading to SoCal, I will let you know! I plan to take the Polestar. I talked to some Polestar 2 owners who live in the Bay Area, and they made the trip easily. I usually drive to Eastvale (near the Corona/Norco area) and I would have to make two stops, one at Harris Ranch area (or a little further down) for 20 or 30 minutes and a second stop when I hit the Valencia area near the 210 freeway for 15 to 20 minutes. On maybe another one of my trips I'll bring my IS350, which is a great trip car as well. I'd love to meet up!

yeah i have yet to see a polestar too. i have seen plenty of rivian though and also 2 lucid. i need to pay more attention, i would think there should be a few running around town already.

counting tesla doesn't make sense anymore. honest i think i will have much tougher time finding civic or corolla. it's impossible to go a full block without running into another tesla here.

for now i still drive the model 3 dual motor, by the end of the year it will be another ev. time to shop in a few months!

I see a lot of Rivian too. at night its headlights are unmistakable. I think they are based in Irvine so they probably test around here often

Polestar2's profile is very understated which makes it blend with the crowd easily. There are no nameplates on the car (there is, however, a small sticker on the front doors), just the Polestar nondescript logo

That's one of the reasons I went with Polestar...low profile, not many of them on the roads, and at the same time it peaks curiosity

Today it was an Acura MDX. He was riding my tail, it was a two lane street with a 30 mph max, so I slowed down to 25 mph. You know, just to be safe . As expected, he tried to quickly go around me, I then put him in his place by leaving him way, way, way behind. The look on his face was priceless as he desperately tried to tell himself he would catch up. I really have to stop this, please somebody help me, I need a Plaid to put me in my proper place
