Today is one month living with my Polestar 2, and I have no regrets with my decision leasing it. I've figured out all it's strengths and weaknesses, and there are way more pros than cons. The cons are mostly things I wish they included or made standard. So far driving it in colder weather with using the heating, I've been getting around 230 miles on a full charge or 220 miles on a 90 percent charge, which is the default charging setting. Both freeway and road driving is extremely pleasant, it's such a smooth experience. I've gotten so use to One Pedal braking that when I drive my IS350 I keep thinking something is wrong when I let off the gas!

I still love my IS350, but now that I have the taste of EV's, I can't imagine myself without one. I'll probably hold on to my IS, but I definitely plan to replace my 2013 Sienna with an EV in the next 2 or 3 years

Doug DeMuro's weird rankings showed he really bashed the Polestar on his 'practical' score, whatever that mean, presumably cargo room? thoughts? but then he gave it 2 more points than the Tesla Y on styling.

i find his scores basically contrived to get the rankings he feels they deserve.

LOL Doug is very picky, I'm actually surprised he rated it that good. Trunk space is average, less than a Camry, spacewise it's probably like a Corolla

Doug hated the LC. GSF, LS etc saying BMW and Mercedes had better power and tech, so there you have it

After more than 8 months of ownership I have absolutely NO regrets.
This car is a joy to drive every day!
Having had 8 Lexus vehicles, build quality was very important to me. Excellent fit and finish. Not one rattle or squeak. Cabin is extremely quiet. No major issues with infotainment. I believe I had to reset the infotainment once or twice. Like I said before, my only gripe is the continued delay of Apple CarPlay, which should be available in the Spring. That being said, the google based system has been flawless.
I’m looking forward to the Polestar 3 possibly to replace my wife’s Audi Q7 at the end of the year.
I will never return to an ICE vehicle.

So far my experience is similar to yours, no regrets. They are about to release an OTA soon, version 1.8.2, which will add some optimizations

that's great to hear! definitely looks very interesting and i am paying more attention on this as replacement. just read up more about it, i am a little disappointed on the range. seems to be quite a bit less than the model3/y

Definitely range is less, if that's your need then you are better off with a M3. Maybe wait for Polestar 3, which I'm sure will have better range. There is an upcoming update that will optimize the drivetrain efficiency, but probably will only give a little bit more range

Range is ~10% less per battery capacity maybe a bit more I don't think that's a big deal. Some Tesla's have seen a drop in range when they moved to LFP cells. The price of the car is the same AFAIK.

I thought LFP's were supposed to be better and last longer

Can be charged to 100% and drained to 0 without harming the cells but they have less energy density. For longevity that remains to be seen. It does look like every auto maker is moving to LFP or are planning to.

They are less energy dense so it requires a higher capacity to get the same range due to weight. That also precludes them from high performance applications like the more powerful dual motor variations in Teslas but they do last longer (5k cycles) and can be charged to 100% without degradation. They are also much cheaper and are much less prone to fire. Its a great application for slow cars like the standard Model 3.
