i think tesla really should have built something more conventional in looks/function, but still with its actual innovations... wait... trying to think, besides its looks, what are it's actual innovations... 48v throughout? no paint? i'm sure tesla can sell them at some point for a lot less than others, so they will undercut lightning, ev silverado, etc., but will that make up for shortcomings like terrible visibility, the stupid mega wiper, horrible finish on stainless steel, etc.
in that video around 19 minutes in they're predicting CTs will be ~70k by end of year.
Tesla is recalling all cybertrucks for the windshield wiper motor. Total number is 11,688. I personally was pessimistic about the cybertruck sales number but even I thought it would have been higher after 7 months of being on sale. No way Tesla sells close to 70k by end of the year.
Standing up a new product line is always going to be rocky. I doubt the 70K number too, but the production ramp will be more telling than units sold to date

true but blaze was referring to unlikeliness of volume i believe based on how 'few' are being recalled.
as for price, i wouldn't be surprised if used CT's at least will be available for $70K at year end.
My bad, didn't realize the 70k number was price. Seems like a good guess if the foundation series ends...wouldn't be shocked if it's even lower. Non foundation dual motor is approximately 80k? I can see many people choosing to go new with a 10k delta.
