No, car manufacturers do not have secret basement development plans for ICE development lol

Look at what companies are saying they will be EV only in 12 years, they are largely luxury carmakers...Mazda and Toyota have not committed to being all EV in 12 years...so your argument about them is a fallacy.

You're arguing against something that nobody has even said is happening lol

I like a lot of EVs I just don't like rhetoric unsuccessfully shoved down my throat. I personally wouldn't buy an EV though, love V8s too much.
well you are not interested into EVs, of course you will not buy Tesla.

If you are interested in EVs, quite large chance you will buy a Tesla, despite what Musks twitter account says.

I Never said popular. By numbers, they are just short of being the highest sold car, world wide, not just California. Numbers are all publicly found

If I wanted a truck, which I currently don’t, I would absolutely get the cyber truck. It’s so ugly it makes it kind of cool to me. I also like the Hummer but at 10,000 lbs I don’t know about that one.

If I had $140,000 and 8 cars I’d absolutely have a Plaid.

I just don’t like Teslas having just a screen and the fit and finish issues.

Like I said there are EVs I like like the Hummer and Lyriq.

And that's totally a fair assessment. There are a lot cars I don't like that others think are cool. BTW the fit and finish issues on the new Tesla's, at least the Model 3 are pretty much gone. See my review of my brother in laws Model 3 rwd he bought in November

It is correct......at least to an extent. NE-coast culture, which I was emphasizing, is much closer to that of coastal California than it is to, say, SE coast-culture, which is substantially different from either of them. And coastal CA is different from inland CA.

Anyhow, not to drag the thread off-topic.......I was originally commenting on the issue of CA emission standards and how other places in the country are likely to follow or adopt them.

Here is an interesting, and realistic, comparison between the two, showing their strengths and weaknesses. It is too long an article for me to copy and paste here.

i'm with you but the model s and x have the center screen PLUS a gauge cluster screen.

why tesla won't offer HUD at least is beyond me. make it a thousand dollar option, i'd still get it!

I'm talking about the market as a whole, ICE, BEV and PHEV. 18 percent were EV sales, 126.9 percent increase from 2020

I'll never say never, but I doubt they will have a HUD anytime soon. Tesla's goal is to reduce complexity and cost. Also Tesla standardizes, meaning that they don't want to have a HUD on one vehicle and not another which means they have to add a step in the production line for some cars. If you look at Tesla's options, it's down to 5 colors and do you want Autopilot and FSD enabled. Other than that, hardware wise every Tesla is the same, except the S and X which offer air suspension

Nobody is saying that mainstream car companies will be all EV in 12 years...thats my point. You're arguing against something that doesn't exist.
