The Tesla brand has very strong brand cache, and its different from MB/BMW or Audi. A Tesla is cheap to fuel, is totally different, drives very fast and is all over the press.

It doesn't matter now much growth Tesla has. What matters is making money and it is profit that matters. The car company that makes the cheapest, and longest lasting product is the company that will win. Tesla recalls have electrified in the last little while, just before New Years 450,00 cars were recalled for something small like a camera mounted on the truck might cause a crash. Tesla is one massive battery recall away from a massive disaster
And there is the closing statement of doom and gloom that you always make about Tesla lol. 👍

Good thing Tesla went with the much safer cylindrical batteries vs the pouch or prismatic. The recalls have been primarily related to the prismatic for GM and Hyundai. Not a coincidence that the next generation batteries are all large form factor cylindrical.

Seeing how Tesla is at the bottom for reliability in CR and other brands have recalls for batteries. At some point Tesla will have some battery recalls. So far so good though And I am not wrong when I say that the cheapest, longest lasting EV will win.

But you still have to go through the other objections that LexsJill never stops talking about - the onerous chore of constantly plugging in and out etc

And in the same post she complimented someone on buying a Tesla and how great it will be that the owners kids will grow up loving a Tesla......

Who cares right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I only argue when something factually incorrect is said.

Almost everything The bears said of Tesla has gone the opposite way. Tesla isn't bankrupt and is the most valuable auto company in the world. Tesla isn't bleeding money and now has one of the highest margins in auto. Electricity rates aren't going through the roof with even a 10% penetration in California. Them predicting battery recall...I say good. Probably means it will never happen.

All of the Tesla doom and gloom predictions are continually disproven, and once they are those detractors move the goalposts and predict another threshold where Tesla will fail. Tesla is not going to fail. The future is very bright for Tesla.

in the sense of 'cool/trendy to own' and 'cool tech' sure, but in many ways, absolutely not.

tesla product quality is crap compared to apple.

tesla has loads of gimmicky / juvenile features, apple doesn't do that.

tesla is not known for great customer service, apple is.

tesla only sells direct. apple sells direct and through retailers.

Apple outsources their manufacturing. Tesla does not.

I thought the end game was hydrogen and that was inevitably going to win? Are you now saying BEVs are the end game? If you've changed your mind and respect.

Don't be so sure. Their unwillingness to accept unions may be their downfall. It has put them at a disadvantage with tax credits in proposed legislation. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

I’m talking about how Apple and Tesla approach their consumer, and how they market their products to their consumers. Tesla obviously had Apple as a benchmark.

Tesla doesn't need credits. Unions were part of the reason General Motors went bankrupt.
