Default Preview of Electric Lineup RZ

https://discoverlexus.com/stories/lexus-electrified

The all-new Lexus RZ will launch in the first half of 2022 and feature the e-TNGA platform, DIRECT4, steer-by-wire, and more ground-breaking technologies that will deliver a driving experience unique to Lexus. Working towards the goal of 100% BEV models worldwide by 2035, the Lexus range will include a full BEV lineup across all categories by 2030.

I really hope Lexus adds a few features to the RZ that are sorely lacking on the bZ4X/Solterra twins for the upcoming RZ. HUD, power pano-roof, V2L; along with the usual Lexus premium interior, and I will gladly trade my RX-h for the RZ.

took some screen grabs. Sadly, IMO these designs are super underwhelming

If at least one of these is going to be for sale in 3 months or less I'd like to see the real thing not renders.

The RZ has been revealed for months now yet Lexus remains tight-lipped about any specs whatsoever. Why the secrecy?

Because it's probably still only a rendering

Nope, it's already out and about being tested:

I was just kidding. I don't know why they haven't released specs, unless they are being conservative and making sure they are getting the range and power desired. With Hyundai already out with EV's, reputations are at stake. Just a guess

Do you guys think the RZ will be compact sized like Toyota RAV4 and bZ EV, or do you think RZ will be midsized like RX, such that the RZ EV would be released alongside the all new midsize 5th generation RX ICEV due later this year?

Probably the exact same size as the BZ4X. Nowadays anything Lexus gets has to have a Toyota model to base it off of.

When have you EVER known Lexus to release a bunch of information and details early? It's always been their MO, don't act surprised.

It was some time ago, but back when Lexus introduced the first IS300, the industry knew about it, and its details, well in advance, although it can also be argued that because it was so strongly based on the non-U.S.-market Toyota Altezza, many of those specs/details were already known. As you probably know, I liked the 1Gen IS300, and bought one...that's how I joined CL.
