Default Audi A6 E-tron Sportback and Wagon/Estate

According to Thomas these are both 95% production ready. Audi also isn't calling the Sportback an A7 because they predict the A7 body type will be more popular than the 3-box A6 sedan of old, and so want to it become the new "main" body type.

always loved mid sized wagons like the e-class, 5-series, panamera (is that mid size?), a6 avant, and even the jag xf sportbrake. now they are just splitting hairs with all these different models.

would this be the first EV wagon (SUVs don't count)?

No, that would be the Taycan Cross Turismo.

That last 5% of production difference is major from what I can see so far. These development cars are showing off a more blobby profile:

The giant wheels and more aggressive sills/bumpers seem to make a big difference on the concept car.

I have to agree with Tango now after seeing these new pictures, this car looks so much blobbier than the concept. Very cab-forward design, with FWD proportions and a long front overhang- bizarre decisions for a ground-up EV platform. Audi also couldn't mitigate the size of the batter pack and so they all look very tall and bloated.

The production split headlamps also look exactly like the ones on the new X7/7-Series.
