It's absurd but I'm not going to blame the car when someone doesn't know how to use it. Tesla is moving towards profiles for every driver (can migrate the profile to a rental) maybe they will put the option to turn down power, a valet mode of sorts.

I think so and again, you'd be surprised at how sharp you can be into your 80s if you keep yourself sharp and have good genetics Of course it's all a moot point as by the time I hit 80 (if I do) the cars will probably just drive them self.

I think the bottom line is, people have to exercise good judgement with what cars they purchase for what drivers…

If someone who is 85 wants a Plaid, they can pay the huge insurance cost. Same as a 16 year old. The point is the roads are made safer by discouraging some drivers from making silly choices.

I've seen a few Plaids here, both X and S. One I was next to was all Black, nice wheels and everything, all drive like grandmas. The biggest A hole drivers here are Nissan Altima, Charger SRT, and Mustang GT. In that order. For some reason, Altima drivers think they have something to prove

I still hate the look and don't think this deserves to be called an SUV, the Tesla SUVs are just fat cars. The pecking order comment is funny because with EVs it's very fixed, with ICE anything can be obscenely fast. Even the comment about messing with 911s is just not true since it can be tuned/modded and in the 8s for all you know plus you will never stay with him in turns.

I think the Altima drivers are very aggressive but pickup drivers are worse where i live...and so slow. Actually, I think Hellcat drivers always drive slow for some reason. Really never see them push it. Of course I could say the same thing for most Tesla drivers...just puttin around in the right hand lane trying to be efficient

Checkout the Throttle house video on the Jag F pace EV. They were following 911's on twisty Malibu canyon and keeping up. Both were commenting how surprised they were... and how surprised the 911 drivers probably were

Track times don't lie, I am sure the 911 drivers were not pushing it

Both of them have driven practically every Porsche, and Thomas is an actual race car driver, so they know what 911's can do. That's not putting a 911 down, everyone knows it's an extremely capable sports car

Now tune them, the EV will never be anything more than what you get from from the factory. No personally or individuality, just a locked in appliance

Which hardly anybody does. 99% of cars are driven for their entire lives exactly as they were delivered from the factory. Thats important to you, but its just not important to the vast majority of people.

I know, it will go the way of auto trans vs manuals. Some will continue to care for the emotion and connections while most just use it to move around.

But you drive automatic cars that you still enjoy. People find enjoyment out of cars in all different ways. Just because people don't modify their cars doesnt mean they don't enjoy them.
