Wow your LX certainly does not look 600K old. For customers like you, there's no competition for LX. And I too would trust Lexus for reliability over a new "kid" on the block.

He didn't put 600k on a single LX, that's cumulative over more than one. Regardless I agree for customers like him you can't beat a Toyota/Lexus product.

Fixed that for you lol. If the LX wasn't as durable as it is I can't see anyone dealing with the other sacrifices. Much better driving trucks out there that are more comfortable to boot.

LX is insanely comfortable except for the back back row. The back seats are just as good as the fronts. Recline and fore/aft.

Great truck for a family of 4. More than that you need Sequoyah size.

The LX600’s 2nd row seats weren’t much of a standout in the model I just recently spent a day in. They were fine but no better than others in the class.

Mercedes GLS, BMW X7, Range Rover, just to name a few.

The Escalade and Grand Wagoneer are bigger, have worse ride quality, but have better overall body control.

Yeah mine is old but I did spend about 2 hours in the back seat while our friends drove us around their new town, one of the best back seats I’ve ever sat in. More comfortable than a captain’s rear seat I sat in in a Denali once.

The new one needs way more room for that trick seat to shine.

I have had
06 lx470-
2008 lx570-
2015 lx570-
current lx570 2018
probably will pick the new one but since kids are getting bigger; ironically their favorite car of all I owned was the ls460

just for perspective my RX has 195k as it sits right now, all those lx went close to 200k without a single issue. only big job I remember was replacing a windshield (because of rock chip), oil changes/brakes/ tires and regular maintenance.

I wouldn’t say it’s a total failure. It still have full time 4WD. Body on frame. And it doesn’t have some engine from the George W Bush era (although the new engine isn’t very good). It’s just not a very good effort

Dealer here still wants a 50k markup, it's insane.

4 year wait time sounds good, but since sales are DOWN this year, the low sales and wait time must be supply chain related.

Really would need to know worldwide sales and the US really is an aftermarket for the LX now. The supply chain and parts thing is true so you are right there , but it all depends on what else they want to build. Toyota set a record for 4Runner sales in 2021 so it all depends. Overall though, Lexus totally phoned it in on the LX.

Disappointing to see that TMC so dependent on Chinese suppliers under lockdown.
Hopefully TMC can decouple from Chinese suppliers, and engage in factories in other parts of the world like Vietnam and Indonesia etc.
