I'm just not into the Polestar brand at all. This leaves me cold:

$83,900 loaded minus performance pack. This will be offered first, like my Polestar 2 Launch Edition, then cheaper variants will follow.

I like the Polestar brand, but that is a lot of money for a not that prestige/luxury brand & model. We have a lot more options @ that price. I tested droved the Polestar 2 performance (I wish they had the regular one) a few months ago. It rides OK but definitely on the stiff side. The interior is not that roomy, with small windows (especially for the rear). Another thing I don't like is the cloth material on the door panel and dash that can get dirty quickly and be hard to clean. As for the Polestar 3, I would definitely test it drive when it is available.

No, it starts at $84K. Add a different color, nappa leather, tow hitch, and 22 inch wheels and the price skyrockets to $96K. This isn't including the performance pack.

The pricing is very much in line with the BMW iX.

iX sized.

Makes Model Y look like a bargain.

Where are the $30-40k EV SUVs?!

Because it's not a Model Y competitor. And the Bolt and Leaf have been out for almost a decade lol.

Yeah...$98K WITH performance pack (which come with it's own wheels) , which is not really necessary though. Leather is nice. At least the no cost color is now Magnesium instead of Void (black). The Polestar 3 is supposed to be similar in size to the Cayenne and Polestar 4 similar to Macan. I'm sure the Bowers and Wilkins stereo is gonna be impressive. I had the B&W in my previous Volvo S90 T8 and it was fantastic. It's the only thing I miss in my Polestar 2. It wasn't an option unfortunately. This setup has >200 watts more and 6 more speakers (25). Can't wait for reviews.

Since when are Bolt and Leaf considered SUVs?

Model Y looks like much better value compared to this Polestar. Ppl will definitely cross shop them.

Too expensive for what it appears to be IMO. I'm waiting on the Cadillac Lyriq. At $65k, it offers more luxury and great styling.

Depends on what you consider a SUV. Both the Leaf and Bolt are taller than a Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the same height as a Mach E. Chevy literally calls the Bolt an "Electric Utility Vehicle."

People can cross shop a Model Y with a BMW iX too, doesn't make them competitors in the same segment.

But the Polestar will undoubtedly offer sharper performance than the Lyriq. completely different intended markets and functions. Yes they're both "luxury" EV SUVs, but entirely different personas that they're going after.
