2023 Audi Q8 E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback
#2
There will be a lot more name changes in the next two years, but will make more sense in the long run separating E Tron and ICE models.
Anyways, this is going to bring much needed battery and range updates! IIRC close to 400 miles on the European cycle, so will be about 350 mile range for the US, huge increase over the current models uncompetitive, puny 226 mile range.

Well, the previous e-tron got half that... So hopefully Poreche Audi can do a little better. The original Porsche Taycan was supposed to have a 400 mile range. Yup.

Very nice facelift. Looks like I was wrong on the measurements.. 375miles of range on WLTP.. should translate to 330-340 EPA mile range, which is still a huge improvement over the current 226 mile range dual motor E Trons.

"We know how important it is to have a range number that starts with a '3,'" said Carter Balkcom of Audi Product Marketing in a briefing, "and so I can tell you that around 300 miles is what we've set as our goal and we're pushing hard to get there."

Audi estimates it'll be more like 300-ish, which matches its other competitors like the iX and Polestar 3.
Disappointing that this still does not use the 800V architecture from the E-Tron GT. I also don't know if it's using an EV platform or ICE-converted one like the current model, but it sounds like the latter.

I have no doubt they'll surpass 300. And yeah, this is a facelift of the current E Tron so nothing major. Q6 E Tron on the dedicated PPE is not due until another year and a half due to being delayed since their outsourced software company CARIAD is having issues. This update should keep the Q8 E Tron fresh for the next few years till a true next-gen Q8 E Tron on a dedicated EV platform comes, probably for MY26 or 27? Current gen E Tron customers going to be very disappointed if they JUST bought their cars LMAO.
