I totally agree with that observation. The P2, which is their first attempt at full electrification, is a pretty fun, sporty and efficient commuter that performance wise takes on some pretty fast cars (I won't name ), and it's not even built on a ground up EV platform. Polestar has now been doing this for a few years now and has gained valuable experience. By the time the P4 comes out, it's probably going to be an amazing SUV. Plus, my lease on my P2 will be coming to an end. Watch out Tesla!

BTW, as soon as the P3 starts shipping, I'm going to do a test drive as the San Jose Space is close to me. It's out of my price range, but I still want to kick the tires up close

Didn't realize that the Polestar 4 is based off a Geely platform. I know Volvo was bought out by the Chinese, but that these were bespoke platforms developed in house...

It is rather strange that it's based on the Geely plaform rather than the SPA2 that the 3 sits on. But this is the same platform as the Lotus Eletre.

Its sad they resorted to reskinning a Zeekr 001 instead of a Polestar-led effort. Power, battery, seats, door handles, infotainment screen, and wheel are all just taken from Zeekr,

BTW some hater purposely keyed my door yesterday

It looks worse in person. I wasn't even parked next to someone so whoever did it, walked up out of meanness. They probably would have done worse, looks like they did it quickly as they walked by the door. I'm guessing this person is a sour mean spirited individual who has nothing going for them in life

Whoever did this doesn't have a life.
Hopefully the scratches not go thru the clear coat.

It's pretty deep, I haven't tried to buff it out yet. Not going to worry too much about it. I'm just wondering what goes through people's heads when they do stuff like this? Do they actually feel satisfaction? I'm never ceased to be amazed by people

How is this any different than the Polestar 2/3? Those share platforms with the Lynk&Co 01 and XC40, and fairly certain they share some interior components as well.

Cameras or not, having no rear window on the P4 seems odd. Looks nice though

I wish I could become excited by Polestar's styling. They evoke zero emotion in me every time, it's almost as if they're those fake cars you see in insurance commercials.

More on the upcoming Polestar 4

The 2025 Polestar 4 Embraces Modernity and Aerodynamics

Despite the lack of a rear window, this slick crossover is a testament to modern Scandinavian design

  • Polestar launched its second SUV and crossover offering at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, known as the Polestar 4.
  • Built on Geely's SEA-platform, the Polestar 4 will be a midsize crossover with 272 hp-544hp and 372-348 miles of estimated range.
  • North American deliveries are slated to begin in 2024 at the cost of $60,000, though a future production shift to South Carolina could ultimately lower the price

Looks fantastic I love the design language. Doubt there will be any version you can actually get for $60,000. No rear glass could be a nothing burger or very jarring unless you're used to driving around a panel van.

If it sticks in the $60K range, I think it will be a winner. If the interior is anything like the P3, than it will be a good alternative to the Model Y
