My wife's cousin has a Polestar 2, and when we were chatting with him about cars over Christmas in Indiana, my wife and he were talking about European delivery events for many marques, and she told him about the Polestar Swedish Arctic experience event she'd read about. Turns out he nearly immediately went out, signed up for it and they actually did a little promo on him there His story about finding it in their online store doesn't quite line up with his BMW racecar driving cousin telling him about it lol, but that's ok. Looks like a pretty unique thing to do.

Time to dust off my Polestar thread . Had the car all day today, so wanted to go over it's efficiency numbers and see if they have changed over the last couple of years. Today I did an almost 22 mile drive, It was about 3/4 freeway (average speed 75 MPH) and the rest street driving. I enabled a built in app, Journey Log which records several data points, including miles driven and kWh used. I pruned out all the irrelevant data and did some quick calculations, and here are the results:
Again, BEV's never cease to amaze me when properly implemented. A 476 HP/502 ft-lbs torque vehicle that will give a car like a Mustang GT or a BMW M3 a run for their money, yet maintaining a 99 MPG efficiency. On top of that, the total trip costed me something like $1 in electricity. The current MPG actually exceeds the EPA ratings, which is probably due to the software updates the vehicle has been receiving over the last two years which actually make the car better over time

Clever car ads
Saw the recent Polestar 4 ad and I think this might be the best ad I've ever seen for an EV? I have never seen a commercial for an EV that nails its target audience while being informative like this without being preachy.

Looks like the Polestar 4 is opening orders soon
If they offer good leasing options, may look into this next year to replace the P2....

That interior would be near perfect if it didn't have the needless ****, stop it Polestar.

I believe that **** is the volume control (at least that's what it is in the P2), but I could be wrong, that could be the new shifter. I'm going to do a test drive of one when it becomes available

I never heard of a polestar until yours and I finally saw one for the first time yesterday.
Or maybe I saw one before but just didn’t know what I was looking at but this time I recognized it coming towards me.

I do see a few from time to time, but not many of them. I have two friends that own them. I see them at chargers. They are more popular in Europe, I would say most of the Polestar forum members are European. About a quarter US owners. It's been a great, trouble free car so far with only one issue since leasing

Sat in the 4 at the NY Auto Show. Was in the back when a couple was in the front and they seemed to like it until I mentioned that there was no rear window. Cue a double take and the statement 'I don't know if I trust cameras that much' Sorry Polestar

I'll have to test drive one to see for myself. Cameras give you a much clearer view, I switch the cameras on the all the time in the Y, so I personally don't think it's that big of a deal

I'm disappointed that my R1S doesn't have a digital rearview, but I think it's the option to not have it that troubles me. I've had the screen go out for a week in my 3P when my MCU failed which makes me cautious about being over reliant on just the screen for visuals
