I haven’t noticed any significant difference. I haven’t driven it much since I got it last week. I’ve been at our shore condo.
I never had any issues with the previous infotainment system.
I have noticed that the non-performance suspension feels improved. No complaints here.

That's the range I get too at 90%. Used to be 220 when I first got the car

They corrected it last year in a software update to more reflect actual range based on how you drove last. At least that's what Polestar says

The Polestar has been sitting idle since Friday as I went out of town on a camping trip. Yesterday when we got home it was 106 F Today is going to be 108 F, so naturally this morning it was almost 80 F when I was leaving for work, so I turned on the AC. The AC settings were all greyed out, I couldn't change the temp and changing the fan speed did nothing 🤣. So I rebooted the infotainment screen, and everything started working again, nothing greyed out and I could control the HVAC system again.

One of the reasons I'm not getting another Polestar. Love the car, hate the software. I've had the car nearly three years, they have pushed multiple OTA updates, yet they can't seem to fix issues like this. The software seems to be especially buggy after it goes to sleep for a few days, many of the services crash or don't come back up. Also Google maps was running like a snail on downers. We don't have this issue with the Tesla, the Ioniq 5, and even my daughters Bolt

Fortunately, I’ve not had the experience you’ve had in terms of software issues. I only had one issue which required a short visit to the dealer for a TCAM reset. That issue did not make my car inoperable. Have I needed to reboot the infotainment system? Yes, but only a handful of times. No big deal. That’s why I’m now on my second P2.
I wonder if the other Polestar 2 owners on this forum have experienced significant software issues.

It doesn't happen very often, so it's not really a big deal, I'm just venting here in my thread

But today something happened that could be a safety issue. I was sitting in the car, it was in "D", and a coworker walked over and touched the handle, and the car unlocked. I thought maybe it was a fluke, hit the lock button and asked him to do it again, and the car unlocked again. Key fob was in my pocket. This never happens with the Tesla, the Ioniq, or the Bolt. Even my 2010 IS350 was smart enough to know when the fob was in the car. I probably should report this to Polestar support because some random person could open the door and steal something, or even jump in the car

I had to reset my TCAM once, which I did myself. It was very difficult to get to it but it was a simple unplug/plug once you reach it. I also had to reset the infotainment once when the display froze. Contrary to Amirza's experience, Google maps loads almost instantaneously for me.

Maybe I need to fully reset my infotainment screen, or maybe it has faulty hardware, I don't know, but I'll take a video of it loading and post it to show you guys I'm not crazy 🤣

Yesterday I saw a guy pull into a lot with a blue Polestar 2 with performance pack. I noticed he was going to an ice cream place that I was going into. I figured, let me ask him how he likes his Polestar 2. He replies, "I have 9 months left and I can't wait to get rid of it".I asked him why. He said due to the range and an issue he is having with the air conditioner. I said to myself, why is he having an issue with the range. Didn't he thoroughly look into this vehicle before he purchased it? I told him that I loved it and had no real issues and that I just got into a new 2024. And that was really it. BTW, the amount of research I invest before making a vehicle purchase is ridiculous.

Like you, I did a lot of research before buying, and I have zero regrets. The issues I have are mostly slightly annoying, if I could go back I would still leased my Polestar. I just don't want to get into another lease, and I really want the Tesla

Polestar just updated to software version 3.1.9, this is probably the most noticeable update since the Performance upgrade. Before the update, there was a noticeable delay in throttle response, best described as an EV version of turbo lag. After the update, throttle response is smooth and immediate. No delay, I put my foot down now and she just goes

nice. the mapping of 'inputs' like pressing pedals to responses is a tricky thing. they probably had had their reasons for the way it was and now have reasons for the change.
sounds like a good change.
