FL Drivers (read: dade county)
so im finally moving back home to the 305 this spring ...i decided to hold off tinting my windows here in NC (as1/28/15/15 vs. as1/35/35/35)
my friend advised me to 15% all around...and i see his point because the heat actually melted the "leather" (read: it was an american made truck so it was probably pleather) wrap on the steering wheel of my last car down there...but at the same time i've heard of people dealin with cops on a bad day...
basically i dont want to roll down my windows everytime i see a cop, keep getting tickets or god forbid have to take it off and deal with re-tinting...
should i go with 15%? 20%? is 28% enough?
please advise/post your tints

I live in Miami and I have always had illegal tints. Be it 5% or 15%... I have only gotten ticketed for 5% but never the 15%. Believe it ir not, you can still see quite well out, and your figure can still be seen through it...
But of course, if you are already being stopped for a different offense, it is always good to roll down all the windows in an efforts to show good faith in the ticketing officer....

Just get the tint allowed by law. It really isn't that hard to do, although the law seems to be treated as a suggestion in matters like this one. Is your vanity really worth a ticket and paying to retint?
