2JZGTE swap in a SC400
Bought a complete 2JZ swap from an Aristo front clip and need it dropped and wired up. Engine is going into a SC400 located in Orlando. Just want an individual or shop that is familiar with this swap to get it done. I've purchased the needed parts to complete the swap such as TT oil pan, SC3 radiator, shroud, and engine mount brackets, etc. Any suggestion or recommendation let me know.. Car isnt drivable so distance is an issue. Thanks in advance

swap
i hope you have deeeeep pockets. that swap is going to cost you. you have a 6 bolt main and will have to convert to 4 bolt. hopefully you still have a/c, which is a must here in fl, after all is said and done. you may also have issues with speedometer. the 2j is a beast but the swap money could also build a stout 1uzfe.

Yeah its a big job, alot of experience is required. I want everything working, AC, powersteering, cluster, etc. I realize Im gonna have to spend to get this swap done, just looking for something resonable. So far Ive been quoted as much as $2,200.00

you talk to peter yet?
All Version Motoring can probably do it if they arent too busy with other cars.. They've recently done a 2jz-gte with quite a bit of mods in an is300

Its the wiring Im concerned with. I keep here that the Lexus is Voltage sensitive and if the wiring is off you can foul stuff up quick.

Do your homework before you drop of some project like that on a shop as its definatly not straight foward.
What year sc400 do you have?
What year motorset do you have?
Manual or auto?
A few things of concern are crossmember differences (V8 to inline 6 ).
possible driveshaft issues.
tach signal will be different.
power steering will be on wrong side.
I'm sure there will be a few hang ups but all could be worked out
Were busy a Grip but always have time to discuss a project. Hit us up.

Anybody else? Motor is being prepped to go in as we speak; So its really just the wiring thats going to be left, along with rerouting of the A\C and powersteering lines, and the Front Mount. Its an Automatic so no clutch to worry about. Anybody capable shops or otherwise?
