Quick question for you guys. im checking out a few sc's at the moment. couple of them w/ salvage titles. Would i run into any issues registering them in FL, (im buying them from NY).

nope as long as it has been inspected... i its a rebuilt title youll be fine but if the car hasn't been rebuilt yet you need to get that done than inspected. i suggest get it done in FL... personally,

the car is already done, but it hasnt been registered yet, so i beleive its a salvage title not rebuilt. so i would have to take it down to FL and have it inspected and then have a title sent to me correct? Approximately how long would this process take.

probably 2-3 weeks but you cannot register the car until you get the florida inspection sticker in your door jam.. find out what you can do in NY i used to live there but never had to do it...

I think that sometimes transfering a "rebuilt" title to FL actually cleans the title. meaning I have seen other people bring a rebuilt title from out of the state into Florida, register the car in FL, then when the title comes back it does not show any branding. I am not sure if that is the case from New York and I am not sure if it is luck of the draw or an oversight by those processing the paperwork, but I have seen it. I ended up with one once even though on the carfax it showed rebuilt from another state???
