Orlando RIMS opinion

Hey guys, I am just making a post to get some opinions. Although I am 90% sure I have my mind made up on this situation.
I have had a 94 white sc300 for the past 6 years. I have always had the terrible stock 15" "too many" spoke chrome rims. I hated these rims when they were brand new, but mine are in bad condition to top it off. They are corroded and peeling ... they do no justice.![Sad](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)
I just relocated here to Orlando and my funds are really short. There is no way I will ever purchase wheels for over $800. The car is just too old and I am just too broke to justify it.
The deal is that I know a local guy selling his stock 17" alloy IS300 spoke rims and tires. I can pick these up for $300 total (no shipping). They do not come with valve stems or closed lug nuts. Just rims tires and center caps, all in very nice condition.
I have wanted rims forever and I think about how much I dislike my current wheels on a daily basis. These are only $300, but all things relative that is a decent amount of money to me right now. I know the IS rims are far from some awesome aftermarket 19" Work wheels... but IMO they are 100x better than my stock million spokers on 500 series marshmallow tires.![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)
What do you think, should I get these? Should I clean this SC up for Orlando?

Hey man if your funds are low, your funds are low.
I would prioritize things based on what you NEED and what you want.
Then base it on if you can simply afford what you WANT.
If the 300 is too much cheddar for you right now do the smart thing and just hold off on it for a bit. Maybe even just save your 300 and get some nice 19" rims later on. Just slowly work your way to the magical number.
For some GOOD quality, NICE looking rims check out Ruff Racing Wheels.
You can find them on Ebay for like 1,000 MAX w/tires.
I say save your cash and get some really nice rims later.
