I here the owners don't know what there talking about and always refusing to do a 1J swap because V8s can always beat honda 4bangers with Vtec

Remember even with a bottle you weigh close to 4000lbs

with a 1J you probably way 3600 or even 3500lbs think about it man

 

Actually the v8 is lighter than the 2jz. As the v8 is aluminum and the 2jz is cast iron. not 100% sure about 1jz.

My car weighs in at 38 and change. With me in it, I am at 4000lbs.
Don't know the exact amount but a 2j is ~35lbs more than a 1j iirc.

I know what your trying to say. I apologize if I offended you guys or punky in anyway. Punky has a good head over his shoulders I mess with him because he is out of the norm with the V8, not alot of guys are willing to stick with the stock motor and make it breath better. He has alot of potential and the V8 already has alot of HP to begin. Hopefully when his car is done either John, Ed, Jerome, or I be his first victim .

To truly appreciate this story.I need to give you guys some background.I have two coworkers that drive BMW's.And both graduated from Nissan 240's.One of them drives a 97 Turbo M3 he talks the most smack.And the other drives an M5.Now with that said every time a 07-08 M5 or M6 comes in the store.The smack talking starts about how I don't want any of this or that.So ever time I see a BMW anything as specially any M series,I can't help myself. And the 335i guys just crack me up the most.So now you guys have the background.Here's what happen on Saturday evening after work.I had just got on I95 south bound and I was in a hurry to get to my bother in laws for my niece 1st Bday party.I had pass a blk M6 and by the time we reach Sunrise Bl.I see the car cutting in and out of traff.Now we're approaching Broward Bl.And the M6 blew by me I didn't think anything of it.Until I pass him again after state rd 184 and I see this guy try to pass me back.Ok so it's on we both cut in and out of traffic.And I stayed in the front most of the time threw traffic.We're not talking crazy speeds here guys 75-85 mph.This is where the race got interesting.Right after I had pass Stirling I saw opp. to let this car pull beside me and end this run already.So I move over to the right lane the car was bout three car behind.I see the M6 coming with a full head of steam he see his opening.Seeing him coming fast I then really floor it my car is back firing like crazy.The car has been running a little rich in the cold weather.Any how he is now by my driver door and the two of us are at 110 by 120- 125 I was half a car.At 145 when I finally let off the M6 was good three cars behind.By the time we reach Hollywood Bl a Hallendale Police car was pulling up on I95.We both slow down and drive by the police car.I look over at the guy and the slight drop of the jaw said it all. And we both see the officer exit Pembroke rd. So we both take off again with same result.At this time I've reach Ives dairy and M6 still in my rear view mirror.needless to say my 1st call was to my boy Conroy.
