i dont think i'll be going to this one. Keys is too far from Orlando

i thought the idea of these meets was to do something more centralized so we get people from tampa, orlando etc

come on man lets do the math

from orlando to ft lauderdale takes about 2.5 hrs or less ( i know you guys are not doing 70 all the way down

from ft lauderdale to islamorado key is less then 1.5 hr away smooth easy drive

so for orlando guys its about 4hrs .. i can understand if your cars cant make 4hrs in one shot( just kidding) but folks rem first and foremost we build these rides to drive period

looks like may 16 and may 17th pending confirm from hotel .. this is what 95% of the guys down here asked for , hows that for you and the tampa guys who said they would come

also btw alpha , i ran new -6an fuel line from tank to rail with -10 sized aeromotive fuel filter . car seems to run stronger with the better fuel flow however i still have the rail to drop in and the bosch pump to add but tonight after about 30 mins of hard driving with ac on ( boosting on and off ) pump started to make that high pitched wine again then going into boost started to lean out into 11.9 to 12.5 , my gas level was about 1/4 to empty .. it seems that when i am that low on gas pump starts to do crazy stuff i filled up car just now after letting pump cool down for a 1hr or so and its almost back to normal

do you think this pump starting to fail on me under heavy loads and voltage is dropping

i know you want me to hard wire the pump and add the the bosch in line as well

Count me in!

Good to hear you ran the lines Now get that Bosch 044 on You're at the limit of a single Walbro. Especially without being direct wired. Letting the gas go that low, especially with a Walbro, can cause issues like you're describing. I've had two customers in the last WEEK with bad Walbro pumps. Hard wire the Walbro, ask Terry about this hah, install the Bosch 044 and hard wire it as well

glad to hear it , see if you can get some more guys from your area to come

this friday i am off from work and i plan on contacting the hotel to make some arrangements , so may 16 and 17 sounds like what everyone is agreeing on.

guys from up north , i hope you will participate , afterall dont forget the reason we build these cars , TO DRIVE THEM NOT TO PARK THEM IN GARAGE AND LOOK AT THEM.

i got a phone call from my friend kevin who heads up and is the forum admin for the bmw forums and has a large following , that his guys are interested in doing something with our crew again , i say again for he and i back in 2005 did a cross club meet and was a huge success. well i told him about the islamorda trip and he said cool and that he would present it to his crew

now imagine a caravan of boosted lexus and hooked of lexus's and a caravan of m3's and boosted bimmers making there way down to islamorada key , this adds loads of flavor to the trip and to the weekend being able to appreciate new and different stuff
