The questions you have are great and valid, I thank you for them. I left you a voicemail to clear this up for you, but I wanted to get everyone on the same page with the topic of "charity donation".

First let me give some back-story, the YATC, aka the Youth Automotive Training Center has been a JM Family charity for some time now. It is a local charity is South FL, taking "at risk" kids and helping them with school/life while putting them thru a "tech" program to work in the automotive Industry and have job placement.

Mission Statement from their website: http://www.yatc.org/
"The mission of the Youth Automotive Training Center is to train and educate at-risk youth in basic automotive repair skills, academic remediation, job readiness and life management skills. The goal of this program is to prepare young adults who are at a disadvantage in their lives to become self-sufficient, productive, law-abiding citizens."

Now my records show that The Mega Meet has been making donations to the YATC since 2005. The last donation in 2008 from the raffle, $1000 was donated.

As far as a Rep from the YATC being on hand at the show, that is an answer I do not have at this time, but I will find out.

I wanted to keep this a secret but now the cats out of the bag.... This year All Sunday RAFFLE proceeds will go directly to the YATC, in ADDITION to a portion of the registration fee. So 100% raffle + a % of the registration. The most of any mega meet so far. The % will be based on total number of cars registered. Once the event is over, the donation amount will be posted.

I suggest buying raffle tickets this year if you feel like giving "more", we have some amazing prizes that you guys love and want.

I hope this clears this topic for everyone.

Now we all can get focused on the event itself and not the tiny details,

It's hard work just to put together a local event BBQ, a hang out, small caravan just for the sake of cruising with ur buds. But a MEGA MEET is not an easy feat. Definitely one I don't see anyone else attempting ..Granted the show fees for the N. Miami Lexus show were only for a donation . But has anyone stop and wondered why. Maybe they were trying to steal the thunder from JM . South Florida turbo had everything to gain in the long run . Did they not ??? Their a company that sells parts and services. They definitely stepped it up and put it all together in sort time. But as far as this event is concern, it's being put on by a member / promoter . Hate to say it but car show takes money. .

Josh thank you for all your hard work I appreciated it. And I will be attending .

I'm going to put in some 50 weight oil in my busted a$$ motor and drive it there to be in the show. I'm registered !!! Thanks again for putting this all together. I'm glad our Mega meet is back. Don't slip up like that again. lol
