Default buying a 1j i have some questions

I'm about to buy my motor from this company but there is two motors that im looking at. One of them is a 1j from a chaser and the other one is from a soarer. what is the difference from a chaser to a soarer?

My other question is why is vvti so bad because i seen one with a tranny for cheap from the company???

Chaser hotpipe has a 90 degree bend, front sump oil pan, and different wiring.

I got a complete set for a soarer for sale.
From a 96 soarer, R154 with tripod shifter
Non VVti, rear sump clutch fan. ECU, untouched harness, map, ign.... everything you need.
PM and you can come by and see it.

agree with ^^^^ you are gonna end up with the 2j. but Soarer swap easiest way. Chaser was can work just like the Soarer except for the sump. which you can use from the stock 300 motor and have Jimmy wire it up. it all falls on what u wanna spend

.....And power wise, the chaser will spool quicker b/c of the vvti but die out in the long run w/ the stock single bb turbo. It's a good motor, but you cannot find parts for it and no one wants to learn to tune it here in the states. In Japan, you will find all kinds of stuff for it; which is good if you speak, read and write Japanese and can get into their version of ebay. Otherwise, save up, buy a 2J-like roger said...do it right the first time or it's gonna co$t. I know this b/c I had that motor for 8 1/2 months in my car. And the soarer harness and ecu work with that motor as well. Talk to Waggy T. He can wire ANYTHING. He's Magyver's Chinese half brother.
