Any Fort Lauderdale Gokarters here???
I'm new to the Lexus forum but not to S FL and I have a group that goes karting at Xtreme indoor pretty regularly if anyone local is interested in joining us next time out let me know...Andy.

I have a group of 20+ guys that go regularly. I arrange lap races based on skill (usually 10 guys or so per race). It's a total blast and really does test your driving skills. We'll be there at 7 pm next Wednesday (17th), probably run an 8 min session for the new guys to learn the track then divide up and do some actual races. Our group receives discounted races as well!! Plan on spending about $45 if you're new, that includes the lap race and race license. Just ask the girls up front for Andy or the Ferrari group and they'll find me...we may be back in one of the meeting rooms to organize things. I'm a karting/racing addict so I can't get enough...

Yeah if you have driving skills it helps a lot but it's a bit different than driving a car. The karts are low horsepower so you have to drive smooth to be fast, drifting thorough corners will scrub way too much speed, kinda like racing a Spec Miata. Hope you can make it out! The more the merrier...and you'll be driving with people of your own skill since we have a large range of people attending. Oh yeah, one more thing...you must wear closed toed shoes to race, no sandals.

this sounds like fun i havent been there in like a year and last time i was there i had a lap record but like i said that was a were ago have done anything like this in awhile i gess ill have to get my shifter kart out and practic lol!!!!!

They have a new track layout as of Jan 11th so you'll definitely be in for a change but sounds like you'll be up in the fastest group for sure! It's just a lot of fun running with a group of friends rather than the general public, not so many spins and such...plus once we get some established people running we can run the track in the reverse direction, totally changes it. Hope you can make it...Andy.

I've got some BWM guys, Benz guys, NSX guys, Ferrari guys and a couple Lexus guys coming out on Wed...we may have a battle of the brands!!!
