Default Can anyone recommend a shop in Sarasota?

Hi:

I have a recurring CEL (P0133 - slow response o2 sensor 1/1) on my '04 ls430 that won't go away! I have replaced the o2 sensor twice (Denso) and still have the recurring light. I am out of warranty and don't want to go to the dealer ($$). Can anyone recommend a quality Lexus mech near Sarasota?

Thanks

Damn I wish I could help you cause I'm local to you but the only guy I know works at Lexus in SRQ. This might sound stupid but have you tried disconnecting your battery completely for a while?

Yes I have had it reset at advance auto each time and removed batt cable overnight. It still comes back!

Another stupid question but you did replace the O2 with new ones right? I wonder if it's ECU related..

Yes I actually replaced both the left and right (before the cat) with new Densos.

Damn I don't know what else to tell you cause those are the first things I would have done. It has to be some sort of electrical issue or ECU thing.

Thanks for your responses.
Who do you recommend i take it to to properly diagnose this? It is not under warranty anymore and taking it to the dealer has me worried it will be quite expensive.

I think it's like $60 an hr or something just to look at it. And I'm pretty sure they're just going to hook up a laptop to see. So it shouldn't be more than an hr. I honestly don't know anyone but some friends and the dealership.

try a toyota dealership, their hourly rate is cheaper. If Lexus of Tampa Bay says something is 1000 to fix drive down to Stadium toyota and its like 700. Thats just a random example but you get the idea.
