Default Drive on non-traffic roads with diners

I like the drives they do on Top gear where they drive on amazing roads with very little traffic so they can really push the cars and see what they can do. Plus they go to these obscure restaurants or diners in unusual places.

Jalopnik did one last week as well in new york.

Any suggestions on a similar road trip in South Florida leaving from miami?

I want to do a one day road-trip with a buddy. Put the car through the paces and also check out the countryside.
