i got my eye on this thread as well... saving up for the getrag swap for my 400.. but i'd like to swap the w58 now.. so i can enjoy the car and later down the road cough up the cash for the final swap with boost

 

^^^^i been saving for 2 years for this day money went a little down buying to corolla but i think i can handle the swap im taking my time i don't want to rush anything.....right now the tranny and the turbo is what im deciding on any ideas would be helpful especially the turbo W58 is i think the choice on the tranny so that should b on the way pretty soon and as far as the turbo was up guys????? pics coming Sunday the latest if the weather permits thanks for the input

 

^^^^ Why dnt both of yah look into the T56 6spd tranny and see if RedPhoenix can fabticate and adapter for it. T56 Handles Tons of power and Torque and way cheaper than a Getrag, and somewhere in the price range of a R154

 

also check into bmw 5 series 5 and 6 speeds,they are also getrag trannys...sometimes you can get them very cheap..

 

Pedals have Nothing To Do With The Tranny Being A Getrag. Its best to go to Driftmotion.com and get The Pedal Conversion There

hey need some help a guy told me to run a gt42 series turbo on mine with 550injectors im just making sure that it would be a nice combo with the safc2 controller ...bt i read ppl running differently

 

do you already have the injectors? if not i think for your setup you could get away with the mk3 supra n/a injectors,or you can run the rx7 injectors as well..it will help alittle with your costs...do you already have a better fuel pump?

 

all i need left is the manifolds which are currently being fab....the turbo i have the piping and front mount the inj either the supra like u said or the 550's stilll deciding and the tranny which im undecided about i say by next week or the following i should have decided on what i need to get and just wait on the manifolds and then put everything together so it shouldnt be to long before im on the road tuned and all my goal is the end of november if everything works out i have my fingers crossed thanks for the inputs by the way everyone
