Good luck with the single turbo setup! What year is your SC400? Depending on how much boost you want to run you might or might not need to change your pistons. Lextreme has some of the performance parts that you will need like the manifold flanges for instance. Glad to see a thread like this every once in awhile.

Unless you have the cash to be pouring out somewhere that 6 speed supra trans runs around 3g's. If your going to be running around 450hp range you can use the r-154 trans and be okay with that setup. The newly designed r-154 adaptor just came out for the 1uz locally instead of new zeland or somewhere in that area. Couple buddies had a lot of requests for that cause they sell the w58 adaptor. Make sure all of the maintance stuff is done on the car cause you have a lot of miles on it.

do a th400,or a 700r tranny....can handle all the power that engine will ever make and you can get a fresh built one with warranty for around 500 maybe less..and all the other parts needed you will be only in like 1000-1500 range for a built tranny...just another idea for you..good luck with the build,i am just about done with my sc400 single setup,so if you have any questions lmk
