FL ER Nurse = Laid off :/
Wow never knew this would come to me especially my profession . My manager called me in today and got the grim news that i was being laid off. Miami economy sucks! Oh well im now officially unemployed! Gotta get cracking now on applying to hospitals . Take care of your jobs guys even healthcare is affected! . I do have some backup finances to fall back on but its only a temporary fix

That sucks to hear..Things always happen for a reason even if it seems grim.
Keep your head up! When one door shuts, ten will open! Good luck!

My girlfriend is a nurse but has ended up going into insurance/case management about a year ago when hospital nursing ended up being bad. I have a friend I played football with in high school who was an ER Nurse at Baptist and went from full-time to per-diem to now sitting on per-diem with little to no work.

Damm that sucks to hear! I always thought the medical field was a ongoing business that doesnt change much. Good luck to you and keep your head up, I'm sure you will find something soon with the experience you have.

Sorry to hear. My mom owns a few businesses in the healthcare field so I know how bad it is. Worse thing is that things are only going to get much worse due to the recent elections. My best advice is to get a job in the memorial system or something private. A friend of mine has been working at Aventura hospital for the last year and it's decently stable there. Good luck.
