Sorry about your mishap. Back in 2009 an asshat in a late model Nissan Murano hit my E46 on University Drive and did not stop. It happened so suddenly, I never thought to chase the tool down instead I pulled over to check the damage on my car. A few minutes later when I came to my senses I decided not to chase him/her down and risk causing an accident. Instead I just call allstate and report the incident. People down there can be real jerks, it's one of the main reasons why I grew to dislike the area.

Na nothing so far they told me I gotta wait 10 days for the police report so I can give it to my insurance company. So then I called FHP district like 5 times & nothing not even an answering machine then I called the FHP main office around 10 times they finally picked up & I asked them "whats the status report on my case since I gave the FHP officer the tag & address of the person that fled the scene & he said that would go have a talk with the person & call me back" but he never called back. Then she said "by law the officer has 10 days to hold any information that he chooses. he is not obligated to you back" I was like "are kidding me that's ridiculous I need to know if he's doing his job because for right now I'm the one who found the car got the tag & got his address & you guys have done nothing but just sit there & not answer my phone" so then she's says "come down sir" so I reply " I can't come down I have a bruised knee, a sore neck, my lower back hurts, & a totaled car in my driveway & you guys can't even give me a status update! But yet every year you guys come asking for money so we can support you guys your insane" so then she says "I'll send the officer an e-mail & tell him to get back to you" so I replied "fine that's gonna be like the 7th e-mail he gets because you guys already send him 6 prior to this 1 just tell'em to call ASAP!" BTW I'm still waiting on his call.

shouldnt the hit and run person be arrested? By the way my parents are from south america and have worked hard their whole lives I hate when people stereotype (this is not aimed at OP).

Thanks a lot dude I hope so as well, I just hired I private investigator & an attorney to help me out cuz the cops ain't doing nothing more.
