Leather Restoration in Dade/Broward
I have a 2002 RX300 and I just had the front seat leather/vinyl restored by Mike Bray of "In Home Furniture Repair". I thought he did an excellent job at a reasonable price and I would highly recommend him.
I'm glad I didn't try to do it myself. Mike's e-mail address is sflleatherrepair@aol.com and tel. # is 954-226-2235. He's originally from the U.K and prefers to do car leather in the winter only! Anybody who wants to look at his work can stop by and see my RX300 in Tamarac, FL, not far from the Sawgrass Expressway, between Commercial and Atlantic. My tel # is 954-722-6468.

No before and after pictures yet. I took some with my cellular phone camera, but I doubt they turned out very good. The leather guy took pictures though.
The price was $265 + tax, but that included removing some ink stains from a leather sofa too. It took him about 25 minutes to repair the sofa and about 2 1/2 hours to do the car. The guy is a real artist, in my opinion.
The technique I saw him use for me involved matching the color exactly with "dye" and then airbrushing it on all areas that needed color correction (not counting the filling and patching). The stiching was dyed-over (i.e., painted over), which is so-far the only downside.
