Carbon Build up!!!!
I think my 2006 lexus is250, might have carbon build up due to a few incidents. First incident happened when i started my car up and the RPM's were bouncing up and down, while the car seem liked it wanted to go and stop at the same time. The next occurance was last friday i was sitting at a light and the RPM's did it again where they jumped up to 2500 RPM's and then went below 1000 RPM's as if it was going to stale on me. The final occurance was when my wife got off of work and the the car started up and the RPM's went all the way up to 7000's and then turned off on her 3 times in a row.
So does anyone have a idea what this could be? I just purchased this car on the 29th of Feb, and it hasnt been 3 weeks and im running into issues.. Help please . Car has 63000 miles and runs smoothly when its not having these issues.

Naw i didnt get extended warranty, but i spoke with Lexus this morning and they informed me that i was still covered by the power train warranty, and that if it is carbon build up then its covered under that warranty and will be taken care of at no charge. I just wanted some opinions about it. Maybe it might be something different that i would have to look out for other then carbon build up.

yea that's the routine to solve the issue...the TSB usually fix the problem in most cases..don't mean to scare you but i have heard good and bad after the job was done!!

I brought my car in saturday because its cut out a couple times, rough idling and when i start the car the RPM jumps up to 3000 which maybe cause by the carbon build up. Still at the dealership waiting to here from them if they found anything.....
