I just wanted to send out a warning shot about the E85 being sold at the Pompano and Lake Worth Turnpike plazas. This last week ( and possibly even further back ) I have been getting ethanol contents of less than 70% at the Pompano and Lake Worth Turnpike plazas. I know this since I have a FlexFuel set-up with a sensor and CAN gage that reads out the ethanol content. This is not a problem for my SC FlexFuel set-up, but could be an issue for E85 tuned cars running aggressive timing/tune. I don't know about other Palm Beach, Broward and Dade county stations, but this is a potential concern for all us E85 tuned cars.
In the past winter(s) I have consistently measured 85% ethanol from the Pompano Turnpike plaza, it just seems in the last couple of weeks that the ethanol content has dropped. Like what was said earlier E70 is not atypical up north in late fallt/winter, but I know that last winter we were getting 85% from the TP plaza. It sucks....I make less boost/power on lower ethanol content, but at least my SC is safe. My GTR....maybe not so safe!
