Anybody work at Lexus of Jacksonville?
I'm considering going to put in an apt for a possible sales position. Just curious if anybody has any advice or input on who I should talk to and what department (new/used) would be a better choice. I'd also be interested in the Orange Park location too.

A good friend of mine is one of the lead techs at the Atlantic location. He talked to sales manager, and told me to go in a talk to him. I'd much rather work in parts, but I don't think they have any openings. Although he did tell me they are looking a service writer. I might look into that.
The thing is, i have a full time job now with decent pay. But It's a boring job, and I want to move into the automotive field. I'd even be willing to take a small pay cut to do something revovling around cars. I'm young, and I don't want to start off and get stuck in a job that I can't stand.
I'm going to get up there to talk to the manager by friday hopefully. Wish me luck.

You can actually make pretty good money as a service writer if you're good. I've got a couple buddies at various dealers that are making anywhere from $50-80k+.
But if you're writing service, you do not want to work in Orange Park. No traffic, no money.

Thanks for the advice. I'm still trying to get a chance to go up there. Between working 40+ hours and having the little one to watch, it's hard to find time to get out at all.
