cant find a transmission for my 1995 Ls400
been searching awhile now for a legit used or rebuilt transmission for my 1995 Ls400. constantly checking inventories at junkyards, etc, looking online all over. either i cant find one at all, or rebuilt ones that are not thousands of dollars, and the few i am finding have half a million miles on them and they are still expensive. im getting close to giving up and just junking my car, which i really dont wanna do, but i just cant find anything decent. my car has been sitting now for awhile deteriorating more and more bc i cant drive it. i really need help. does anyone know of anywhere in the Orlando area that might have a good used transmission that im not going to get raped on? or does legit rebuilds that wont cost me my left nut? take it to a shop and soon as they hear Lexus i can practically see them turn green thinking about how much they wanna charge me because, you know, Lexus.
im at my wits end. can anyone help?

Shows 4 within 100 miles of you, not sure if you've checked them all out already but just in case
There is a junkyard in AL that specializes in LS400s I've found and posted in the past... not sure if they're still in business
Searched it up, below

I'd be really careful with "used" transmissions.. in the long run it is cheaper to just rebuild yours.
2 years ago the transmission on my 1995 4runner died. wouldn't shift out of 1st gear or go into reverse. 335,000 miles on it. I thought used was the way to go, I went with an online company that had a 90 day guaranty on the transmission, the guaranty was if it didn't work you could exchange it for another used one within 90days and they would pay for the return of the bad transmission and up to $50/hour for the book time of the labor to remove the bad transmission, the guaranty could only be used once..
The first transmission was DOA, their idiot junkyard techs tried to separate the transaxle form the transmission (4x4) but the 1st and 2nd gen 4runners it was a solid unit, transaxle and transmission were one piece, so when they tried to separate it they cracked it. cost me $900 to have it installed only to have to have it removed, returned, and get a second one, it took over 6 weeks to get the first and another 5 to get the replacement and 9 weeks after that to get my refund on the labor.
in addition the used transmission only lasted about 9 months before it started slipping, so I ended up having to have it torn down and rebuilt anyway.. cost me $2,700 for the whole adventure, but if I had just done a rebuild of the original, it would have been 1/2 that and had a 3 year warranty. I ended up selling the 4runner for $3,000 because it started to become a sink hole.
