Need brake work for '15 IS250 F, anywhere within 3 hours of Orlando (St.Pete/Daytona)
Hello fellow Lexus drivers,
I recently went into Lexus of Winter Park to get an inspection into why my brakes were squeaking so loud. Turns out I need to replace with OEM pads, rotors, shim and brake fluid on a '15 IS250 F-Sport. The amount they quoted me is so absurd it doesn't bear repeating. I have read mostly bad reviews about them anyway. Apparently, there's aftermarket pads in there which I have no idea how they get in there since I never approved it, possibly from a previous owner since I bought it CPO in '17.
I'm based in Orlando and willing to drive 3 hours in any direction to, for example, St.Pete or Daytona, if necessary as long as I can get a decent price. I live month-to-month so I'm not going to be price gouged on this.
The exact word-for-word needing to be done is:
"CAUSE: FRONT AND REAR BRAKES RAE AFTER-MARKET (6MM) - ROTORS ARE GLAZED AND HAVE GROOVING - NEEDS TO BE RESURFACED
CORRECTION: RECOMMEND INSTALLING FACTORY (OE) BRAKE PADS WITH OE SHIM KIT-- RESURFACE ROTORS: TO CORRECT INTERMITTENT BRAKE SQUEAL"
