Default Digital Video and camera people, help me once more.

I bought two new camera's tonight. (couldn't resist, got a killer deal) One is a Sony Cybershot DSC-F707 5MP camera and the other is a DCR-PC100 1,070,000 pixel digital vid cam. I found the price of the Vid cam to be $1,600.00 but i am still looking for the price ot the cybershot.

I am going to be learning how to use these for the next week or so, but i wanted to know how these compared to the upper line Canon's and Fuji's? I know Canon seems to rule the digital world, but i have heard a lot of awsome things about sony and this deal was too sweet to pass up. Can you give me some info about how these camera's rate? My buddy is a pro photographer and he just upgraded from these to bigger sony's (how much bigger do they get???) so after only 6 months of use, i got these for a fraction of the thousands he had in them and all the attachments, flashes, 4 batteries, multiple memory sticks, DV tapes, spare lenses, etc....

So, how do these rate? Pics:

Comparison to Canon G2 (newest version is G5, but G2 was a competitor when that Sony came out) http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydscf707/page16.asp

Dave you always know where to look Thank you. So aside of taking a little exposure out in photoshop, i should be satisfied. I can deal with that. here they are both decked out with flashes and all. I like them, check your PM Dave.

Hook a brother up with another video camera! Tell your friend I got the cash and it's about time it be spent! I think you'll do amazing with these. Don't be afraid and just explore the manual features of your digicam. Tripod of course to keep things steady like always.

Sony's have amazing lenses and great product quality -- the only thing i dont like are the inflated prices -- which, you have seem to overcome! PM me if anything

Hey Bro, i've got a Panasonic DV103 -- It's a nice MiniDV camera w/ FireWire. I'll let it go for cheap. It's head is sensitive and works best only with Panasonic DV tapes. You've seen what I've recorded with it PM me or email me at brendan@auburn.edu.

Wow, this is almost like a classifieds thread huh?

Nice products. The camcorder actually came out over 3 years ago, but it's still a nice one.
