Looking to upgrade.
Have an Onkyo with Dolby Digital.
Would like THX, 100+ watts per channel.

I work for a high end home theater company as a side job and we have a wide selection of middle and top end audio/video equipment. Are you looking for new or used and are there any brands you prefer or do not want?
Let me know.

Hey.
I am realy looking for a deal.
Ideally, I would like to get a new receiver that is like a year old close out due to a new model being released.
My current receiver was an open box special at CC. Retail was $999 and I picked it up for $250.
The better the deal, the more I would be willing to spend.
Thanks,
Ryan
Where in TX are you?

We carry several different brands but our biggest sellers are HK, Denon, and Aragon. I doubt we'll have anything like the deal you got at Circuit City. Plus if you're looking for something that's THX Ultra certified most of the prices are generally pretty high. I'll check and see what we have thats either old stock or open stock and let you know.

Ryan,
If you aren't familiar with it, you might want to check with a place like audiogon. Most of the stuff sold there is higher end, but they do often have some mid/high-range stuff.

Also look at classifieds on AVSForum and Hometheaterforum

Not a bad choice at all. All depends on what level of THX certification you want. Onkyo typically makes pretty decent stuff. Have a friends with the previous version of this receiver and he was very happy with it.
