Looking For A $500 Car!

Car has heat, but if I remember, you have to warm the car up for the heat to work. It doesn't come on while the car is still cold. To be honest, I haven't driven the car much. It's in NJ, and since I'm in Chicago most of the time, I lent the car to a friend who just started attending college, so he'll have a means of getting to and from classes. First year of school is tough after years of no formal education and no point in having him worry about how to get there.
Car is still one color, except for the fade on the passenger front door. I think the front and rear bumpers came unpainted from the factory until the 93.5 models.
I'll have pictures in a week. I'll be returning to the NYC area for one weekend next week, so if you want to take a look at it in person, send me an email at briancho80@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
-Brian.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, car has no stereo. The factory stereo system is self-amplified, and speakers are 2 ohm. You need to replace all the speakers and stuff if you plan on installing a decent system in there.

Bro, all cars have heat. It's an engine thing.
There is no car on the planet that doesn't produce heat. The A/C system is elaborate with compressors, condensors, pipes, driers, etc..........
The heat is the engine coolant running through the dash past the blower motor.
It's pretty easy to have heat, even when you don't have heat
Even in the worst case scenerio where the blower doesn't work, opening the "fresh" vent will blow the heat through the vents

I think my friend who is driving the car now told me that it takes some time for the heat to come on. Isn't there a engine heat block or something? I forget. Just shows you how much I know about cars (not much, that is).
I also have a 96 Civic LX sedan 5 speed with 240k miles in good condition (considering its age/mileage) that I'm selling for $2000. Trying to upgrade to an automatic, preferably a SC400 so I can be like OLT and have two SC's.

If the heat is slow to come up, that means the engine thermostat is incorrect for the car - $4 fix (or in most cases there isn't a thermostat even IN the car in the older cars, when the car starts to run hot in the summer, they pull the thermostat to make it run colder).

Eh... Ive had an old friends 89 4dr accord sitting in my driveway since like feb... I originally bought it to learn how to drive stick and to drive around while i sell my 95 maxima to help buy and fix my sc. However, i was too lazy to go through all the paperwork so i just drove it for like a week or two around nearby blocks.
Only thing i know about it is: i dont think it came with power steering, needs battery cause original is dead, needs brakes, and driverside window is off track a bit. Will prob need tuneup cause its been sitting for past year or more except for the week or two i drove it around.
Dont know much else besides that, but your welcome to come take a look if interested. I'm located in brentwood, over on long island. You can call me at 631-374-7806. Was looking to get $300. I'll even include an Original.... ORIGINAL!! Lost Boys tape that came with the car... lol ... Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless....
