FS: 1995 240sx W/s15 Sr20det 6-spd Or Trade + Cash ???
up for sale is my red 1995 nissan 240sx with s15 sr20, 6-spd tranny. i've had the car for 3 mos now. the complete swap was done by LSAUTOMOTIVE in socal the beginning of last year, 2005.
chassis has about 140,000 while engine has 60,000 im assuming since the install. car runs strong, it drives great and does not give bad gas mileage as you might think. it's got a clean title and brand new stickers so you dont have to worry to smog the car for next 2 yrs. the engine itself puts out close to 240hp stock but despite the aftermarket goodies installed, i wouldn't know how many hp it puts out now. the car can boost 10psi everyday, anytime but can boost more, as i was told, maybe up to 16psi or 17psi . this car is so fun to drive and it revs up so quick due to having a T28 dual-ball bearing turbo. motor alone costs $4500, not including the labor . here are the mods below:
-RSR springs with KYB adjustable shocks and RSR full 3inch exhaust
-custom made polished 3inch downpipe
-APEX intake with cone filter
-SPLITFIRE coil packs
-KOYO aluminum radiator
-OBS front mount intercooler with custom piping
-WALBRO fuel pump
-HKS blow off valve
-GREDDY turbo timer
-NISMO style side skirts
-NISSAN 300ZX 4-piston front calipers with cross drilled rotors (non installed)
-AUTOMETER boost and oil pressure gauges (mounted pillar)
-SILVIA badge on hood and emblem in rear
-aftermarket wing with 3rd brake light
-sr20det s15 motor with 6speed sequential
-factory yellow fogs
-HP EVO wheels (18x8.5 and 18x9.5 black face with chrome, not polished, lip) like new !!
-silvania silvertars on low beams
the interior is clean, no tears or wears on the seats. air conditioning does not work, or maybe not hooked up. brand new timing belts just installed a month ago. paint is immaculate, no fading or rusting that i know of. the only problem im having now, which is minor, is the driver side window. i think one of the brackets or cable had broke that lifts the window up. you can still open (no problem) but rolling it back up, (problem there) you will need to hold it. i do think it needs a new motor. the car also has got a cd player in there, not factory, and all speakers work.
all 5 windows are tinted, previous owner wanted them dark i guess.

its definitely a no because the engine was never produced in the american market. yes the sr20de FWD was but not the sr20det rwd. the only way is to actually legalize a real rhd silvia but you cant even import it rollin off the boat anymore. you have to part it out and then put it back together. even then you still cant legalize it. But i could be wrong because i met some dude at GMR that has a rhd s13 silvia with US tags and everything.

the s15 engine in the 240sx is absolutely legal, as long as your car passes the smog test thats all, but other than that its legal
