You can type more, but it counts every one text message as 160 characters. so you can type a really long text message on the treo that is about say 330 characters, it'll count it as 3 messages. that's pretty much standard for every phone company out there i believe.

no bluetooth on this phone, that came out on the newer 650 models.

im not really sure what your talking about for the text limit, ive never had a problem with running out of room on it.

Well with my sanyo 7400, if i were to write a long text message it will stop inputing letters after 160 spaces. And when i had Tmobile i could write as long as i wnated to and if it were a 2 page message it would say "page #"

1. How old is the unit?

2. Are you the original owner?

3. Is it unlocked and will it work with any other carrier like Rogers in Canada by simply replacing the SIM card?

The Unit is approximately 1.5-2 years old and hasnt been used at all in the last 6 months

yes, i am the original owner.

this is a Sprint phone. This means that it is NOT a GSM phone, it runs on a CDMA network.

So are you saying I will not be able to simply swap in my SIM card and use this phone?

I don't know enough about cell-phones, so bear with my noob questions.

The Treo 600 came in 2 main versions. a GSM version (which came locked and unlocked, this is the one u want since it uses SIM cards) and a CDMA/TDMA version, which is a whole different technology used primarily by Sprint and Verizon(different techs tho for each company)
