Anyone have a wireless router preferably G. ALso required is that its maximum speed can be 54MB not 11MB, because I have an 11MB and it sucks, my internet speeds are cut in half due to it. Can anyone hook me up , let me know .

I know Paul. I appreciate the link. However this is for the house and my father goes by if it ain't broke don't fix it. Well the problem is that it's not broken, however it severely cuts my internet speed from 12.5mb to only 6.5mb since its bottleneck is only at 11mb. I would rather spend the smallest amount possible for a reasonable working router that would meet my needs. 50 is cheap, but there are items that are $49 cheaper and down.

 

Will you need new wireless adapter too on the computer(s) connecting to the router? If they're older 802.11b you will. Just FYI.

 

Nope , all my desktops are connected directly, even my moms desktop across the house using an Ethernet cable that runs through the ceiling. My laptop has an atheros b/g wireless built in and gets really good reception even across the house through many walls.

i always see cheap new and refurbed wireless g routers on sale here. with shipping im sure you'll find one for less than $30.
