I'm all about trades or trades with cash so throw up whatever offers you might have. I've seen these go from $300-$400 with just factory specs.
So I'm pricing this at $300
The good.....
Toshiba A45 S-151
15.4" XGA TFT (1024 by 768) Screen perfect, no dead pixels, back lighting bright and even.
Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 2.8ghz, socket 478
Intel 852GME Video controller
1.5gig PC2700 ram (1x1024mb and 1x512mb) 2gig max. (OEM 512mb PC2100)
Wi-Fi 802.11g Atheros (huge pickup range)
10/100 Broadcom Nic
V90 56k modem
4-USB 2.0
PCMCIA slot
SRX Speakers
DVD/CDR-RW
Hitachi 120gig IDE 5400 rpm hard drive. (OEM 60gig)
Original drive and Ram long gone.
Windows Xp Home OEM loaded with restore disc. (Can throw Xp pro on)
Office XP loaded (corp disc)
Norton loaded (corp disc)
All paperwork, manuals, and even the original box included.
The bad.....
~The battery is original, and will only last an hour and a half under load (CPU working hard) I did watch a 2 hour DVD on a flight a month ago, and it was fine...(very little CPU use). Battery's are going from $30-$45 on eBay.
~The charger has electrical tape around a spot where the cord bends, the rubber sheath around it became cracked and looked nasty...so its heat shrink and taped. Cosmetic fix only...the power unit is fine. Those are also $30-$50 on eBay.
~The keyboard and palm rests are smoothed from use. Cosmetic fault again, works fine.
This is one of the Toshiba Laptops that are over built. Kinda like a 1UZ V8. Open this thing up and everything is easily accessible. You can swap the CPU, HD, WiFi, and Ram in under a minute. Its boot time is 30-40sec.
The heat pipe and fan work great to expel heat. It really is a great desktop replacement portable.
