Default WTB: Resistor for tailights

I am using the Insurance LED tails, and have painted over my inners and want to get a resistor built so my dash light isn't always on. I heard having this on for an extended period of time damages the electrical system of your car. I heard a few members made their own resists. If they can help me out I'd be willing to pay them. Thanks!

Thanks, but these resistors are made to compensate right? What if I'm just missing a bulb? Installation seems more difficult than I'd like, any DIYs?

No idea dude. I haven't bought any, but came accross them since i am still debating going full LED.

It blows that you need one per bulb and seems quite extensive and expensive for a few bulbs. Care to share the links stating its 'bad' to have the warning on? I have had it on/off since the car was bought 5 years ago! lol

Hell my car, on regular bulb i just replaced in the spring [last year] started giving me the bulb out warning again, and they all work.

Here's another suggestion on how to fix it:

Cut to fit, takes 30 secs. to do!

I can help you figure out what value resistors you need to do whatever. Then you can go to the electronic's store and get some resistors for <$1 each, and wire it in.

PM what exactly you're trying to do and I'll help ya out.

you can pull the little bulb from the dash so it won't bother you. you will not damage anything and the light is just to inform you that your light bulb is ou

btw, where did you buy the insurance lights from?
