Recently sold my car and currently driving a beater. My valentine 1 has since then went back into the original box, all original cables, manuals, mounting, suctions, basically everything included when purchased brand new.

Read the forum reviews, I personally think this is the best radar detector hands down.

The serial number on my V1 is: 2745880866

It has the latest software and hardware and no updates are currently available.

Does radar come with a mute button?
(where you plug in cigarette lighter)

Mute button that plugs into the cig outlet? No it does not. I have not seen or heard of that accessory.

to like shut it up if theres a cop pulling u over and u wanna kill the power, or like mute it when your driving and u dont wanna hear it.

im pretty they have it but its just an accessory on top that you have to buy seperate.

Ohhh, all you have to do is press in the power button and it mutes it. There is actually 2 volume control if you look closely at the picture. The outer **** which is the normal volume and the small inner **** which is the volume when you press in the ****. If I see a cop, i'll press it and it will lower it to the volume that i have it set at for the inner **** and once I drive by, it'll return to the regular volume.

But if you get pulled over, i would highly suggest taking the unit down. Having the unit up will pretty much eliminate your chances of getting a warning in my opinion.

^ frantically moving around will really put the cop into distress. he most likely will think your hiding something and get you in more trouble or your trying to reach for something (maybe a gun, etc.)

they dont take it lightly when your moving around when they have just pulled you over.

reason i was asking is because i had an escort in the pass which worked really well and it had a mute button and when he was driving and x or k bands went off he would just mute them.

Yes, if a cop pulled you over it literally takes a push of a button to mute it or a press of a button to turn it off. But to be completely honest, I have not been pulled over since owning this unit.
